Kinda funny, huh? But it might explain some of Ranma and Akane's actions throughout the series.
I chose Yeah.......but I think it would be more romantic if Ranma goes first:because I thought that moment at the end of the Manga where he screamed Akane's name and thought ' I wish that I told you that...I LOVE YOU.' Was so beautiful and so romantic.
And I do NOT think Akane would reject Ranma at all. She seems to constantly want him to admit he has feelings for her and she didn't reject him when she heard what he said in his mind, which to me says she might have actually died and came back, nor earlier in the series when that Cat ghost and she saw the bell floating in her room and "Be MY BRIDE" she was freaked out and even though she was mad at Ranma (but he didn't do it) Akane asked if he was going to propose or scare her to death, and then she was real nervous and acted like she wanted him to propose.
So NO, I don't think Akane would reject Ranma if he admited his feelings for her and I also think this couple is perfect for each other.
Both Ranma and Akane fight a lot, but much of that stems from insecurity, on both parts, and the fear that the other person does not return their feelings so instead they deny these feelings exist and tend to insult one another, but one both put their feelings out in the open, it'll allow a lot of their previous insecurities to slowly vanish and the insults likely cease over time, or turn into pet names once they are fully mature and the fights would simmer down and more than likely, become less heated, at least most of the time. I don't even think they'd argue too much over Akane's cooking because without the other girls throwing themselves at Ranma, Akane would no longer feel compelled to compare herself to them and fear Ranma would choose one of them based on their culinary skills.
( Which Cologne stated was forcing Akane to reveal her true feelings toward Ranma, /from the japanese version and the manga, I thought the english version of that scene in the OVA was stupid because of the translation was ruined.)
izzyismycat and bellflowergirls comments really spoke to me, but I really agree. You think after volume 38 ranma would start to realize that he may not have forever. he should just tell her he loves her now or one day something else might happen and he may never get the chance. You'd think that after experiencing that grief twice, when he thought Akane was dead, he wouldn't be as afraid to go ahead in say it. When something like that happens I think the thought of never getting the chance to say I love you would be scarier than actually saying it.
