I love this question. It's the small moments of happiness that counts, like that hot cup of matcha, taste of your favourite food, fresh morning air, scent of flowers, happy time spent with family, that text from friend which made you smile, watching your favourite TV show, that song which is stuck in your head, being able to engage in your hobbies and so much more. Like tonight only I was discussing all this with Ranty xD
I am not sure what would be the point of this question really but I am curious to non cliche answers I might find here. The reason why it doesn't make sense is that you don't know how is not to be alive so cannot really choose between two.
If the purpose of your question is to find a meaning and realize how "beautiful life is" from other answers then you shouldn't be asking us - you should be introspecting. This is only assumption - so I will not use that as a main construction of the argument.
It is the way one comedian once said "You love life exactly much that you don't kill yourself - that is the exact amount you love your life". So question that would be more meaningful for your own and others introspection would be "What would you do to survive? How much are you prepared to suffer?" If you answer that question for yourself - you will probably figure out why are you so determined to live at this point and why is that, in a sense your purpose. It is what you make it to be.
