How do you escape from negativity?

When you're angry or sad/depressed, being harassed or like somebody must've done something or said something to upset you in any way or you just feel mentally depressed or whatever bad feeling you feel, even feeling annoyed or irritated and trying to get a moment of peace or some you alone time, what your best way to feel better and help you relax? I always like to listen to some soft and calm music and just relax. Or just any of my kind of music or my favorite songs depending on my emotions. I like to sit in my room by myself when I'm feeling unsecured of people and just don't wanna be around them. And by people, I mean family members. I like to look and stare at a picture of a beautiful landscape or outer space and I imagine myself in that picture while listening to calm music. That also helps me fall asleep. Just anything for me to escape from all the madness and be in my own little beautiful fantasy world without any bad stuff going on. So how do you escape to your own world? What's your way to help you relax and get away from everything?

Depending how bad. For more simpler ones I usually watch anime, play video games, do math or econ related problems, maybe music, maybe write, maybe go to band, maybe work endlessly, maybe just sit there telling my brain to shut the fuck up and stop getting upset over pointless stuff. Considerably healthy / healthier versions of trying to distract / ignore whatever it is.

If its severe though I either cut it off or dissociate if I dont have either my boyfriend or birds around. I try my best to avoid going to such extents though because it gets me into shit really bad so sometimes I just suffer until I feel Ill go mad or loose control of myself if I dont rely on one of my more unhealthy coping mechanism. Often by the time I get to that point its not really my choice tho.

Well, I can't. I can relax, but getting rid of negativity? Nope. It's possible to escape temporarily. I spent a huge deal of my time researching on this. People around you will always be negative and the negativity will always outweigh positivity . That doesn't mean you shouldn't try. Always get positivity whenever you can. Meditate, use positive affirmations, watch videos that are inspiring and positive. Try to increase the positive thoughts to fight the negative as much as you can. That's my theory.

It depends where I am.. like when I'm at my farm house it's a bit easy for me to escape from negativity and people cause this house is so huge that I can get lost somewhere. I find peace here cause the river is nearby and it's sound is soothing the mountains make me wonder and tress take my breath away I'm a nature lover so that's why I'm lucky that I have a home here . We have every kind of bird here peacocks , parrots , pigeons, goose , ducks , flamingos , turkey and many more . We even have different fruit trees like walnut tree , peaches ,apples, pears ,oranges , grapes , persimmon , cherries , almond and much more !! so i really enjoy being here it's a good escape :D . Sadly we only come here on vacations cause it's in mountains far away from cities . But when I'm not here and in cities it's pretty hard for me cause house is not that big I try to sleep or chat with my bestie .
I usually don't see anything bad in people but when I'm hurt it's because my family or friends dissapoint me and it's hard to think "it's okay " I guess I am used to it now cause I ignore alot of negativity (:
