Random Question

Is there anything wrong with these particular things by any chance?

Having fun/a good time?
Rest and relaxation?
Eating good, fine food?
Taking a trip/vacation?
Having nice things? (I either sometimes hear we cannot have OR cannot always have nice things)
Having comfort AND leisure?
Having money and overall riches?

Overall just having/living a good life and at the same time enjoying the pleasures of life?

Please enlighten me. I REALLY want to know if there is anything wrong, if any, with all of these particular things I just listed/mentioned😕😞

There's nothing wrong with those things. People generally use the phrase we cannot have nice things as joke/serious comment to some idiot fucking everything up for someone else to enjoy said thing/etc. Cannot always have nice things is just simply realistic thinking

No, why would someone even question that? That's what Life is all about. You're living it the way you want without regrets. What is the point in being miserable throughout it? Sure, some of the things you mentioned might be a little bit more trivial than others but why you should still limit yourself? Every person has his/her own desires and ideals for a good and happy Life. Provided you don't let some of these aspects get into your head, there is nothing wrong with any of them !!!!

I think you've been talking to too many communists. They say capitalism is based on greed, but socialism is based on envy.

I dont think that capitalism-socialism is too relevant here, but I must say I agree.

It's not about the systems, it's about the mindset of the people who support them

Honestly no one will tell you there is anything wrong with it, however you arent going to get it if you dont work for it honestly.

If you slack and dont get the stability or consistent income to have this stuff, you didnt earn it and its not going to come to you.

So theres nothing wrong with it, but if you mean "wrong" by "having", my answer is that if you earned it, nope. If you expect to get it for free, wake up to the real world.

But no I just kind of find this question kind of dumb since no one is going to really say "Its wrong and bad to have pleasures in life!"

Especially since a lot of those things are only obtained through money. Work hard if you want them.

I'm with Mauser; you must be talking to a bunch of hardcore capitalists of company CEOs that think of people as human machines or something. There's nothing wrong with kicking back and relaxing. In fact I feel like most psychologists and scientists will tell you that down time is important to mental health.
