You mean Characters that I find myself sympathizing or that they are considered like that in general?

Too bad there are others who don't feel sorry for as well as don't like her for that matter

Well, despite her role, she is actually one of the most loved DR Characters from what my experience can tell. There are those who even find specific aspects of hers relatable (Including me). I won't say she is a misunderstood Character and you certainly cannot find justification in her actions but at the same time, you might find yourself having a hard time finding the fault in some of her views or her upbringing. She isn't one-sided. Rather, she is one of those really complex Characters that you could spend quite some time analyzing and still being uncertain of what to make in the end !!!!

Would you say she is misunderstood as well by any chance?

Yes and no. She's manipulative and verbally abusive. But at the same time she's been verbally abused and manipulated. That's why I think she's sympathetic; because she was raised so wrong and things could have been different for her if she was raised right. On top of that she lost literally everything, including her mind.

I would say Lelouch is more of an anti-hero than a villian.
