Should I be hated for wanting racial, gender, and sexuality equality?

Honestly, I'm happy to be a SJW, but I'm not like the bigots on Tumblr. I don't screech that "Men are horrible, kill all men!" or "Women are superior!" or shit like that. I want everyone to be equal, no matter race, gender, sexuality, anything. I want us all to be equal. We're still, even today in 2017, living in a country where women are paid less, millions of people are homeless, and people of other races are discriminated based on their skin color or religion. It's not right, and it needs to change. We can be the generation to end this, to make it so that everyone is equal.

Short answer is no. Hating someone purely and solely because they want equality is stupid.

SJW =/= someone that desires equality
SJW = an insult once hurled at people who proposed intolerant and militant ideas under the guise of "equality". But it's used so much now against people that aren't even like that so often these days that it doesn't even mean anything.

Also, women being paid less on average has nothing to do with discrimination and this has been debunked several times.

Was going to go more into more things but whatever, don't care, leaving it at this.

There's no reason to hate you. Desiring Equality between everyone is nothing less than noble. Unfortunately, this is indeed how the world has been made. The WHOLE world. This is an issue that made its appearance since the beginnings of our history and remains to this very day. I can't recall a moment when this issue has properly being taken care of. As for the current year, I don't see it as meaning anything. What we call as Modern times right now, will be considered Medieval in about few centuries later. Humans are still progressing and judging by the amount of time we have lived on this planet in contrast to the years since its creation, we are still taking baby steps. Changing the world ( for the better of course ) is a pretty complicated phase. It will take a tremendous amount of education, acceptance, effort, cooperation, resources, influence and patience just to make a step and even then, there will always be those who resist change for their own reasons, be it personal gain or prejudices that have been planted deep within. There will always be differences between people. That is natural but that doesn't apply to prejudices. They have been made and they can be dealt with the same way. Coexistence is one of the biggest achievements that need to be made and I'm talking about TRUE Coexistence. A balanced one based on Equality. Not empty words that showcase only the surface. Yes, perhaps this generation can end it. The next ones will also be able to and previous ones have also thought and said the same. If a generation is able to break the chains of discord and cross the boundaries that set us apart, yes it can be made !!!!

Its not that you want equality, its how the majority of SJWs project it.

An SJW is not someone who wants equality, its someone who goes overboard, hurls insults, spreads hate for anything REMOTELY connected (even if its just because they are men or they are white or they arent trans) to any of the social issues etc. If you are that, then you are absolutely annoying.

If you are someone whos for equality and actually do peaceful shit and dont go calling people names or hating all whites or all cis people cos racism and transphobia, then no.

However I do have to point out that "der wage gurp" thing is false and has been debunked so many times. Women being paid less has nothing to do with gender equality and if it was, then itd be illegal.

No. The problem lies in how you go about it. Well not YOU specifically but how those who call themselves SJW's do it. These people are constantly trashing on cis, straight, white, men. Or any arrangement of those. These are the people who make fun of men's issues and dismiss topics like male suicide with terms like 'male tears' and 'fragile masculinity.' These are the people who will write anything men have to say off as 'mansplaining'. These are the people who call everything sexist--like say air conditioning. These people won't let people make jokes because literally everything offends them.

These are the the people who made me briefly less open about my asexuality (because they made a joke of it) when I otherwise wouldn't be worried at all. They're the reason, when I say I'm asexual, that people don't take me seriously anymore. They do way more harm than good.

My friend has depression and had told me once that he hates using the word 'triggered' to describe his very serious problems because of what sjw's turned it into.

Long story short sjw are not true activists. They're people hiding behind good ideals to mask their own racism and sexism.

If you don't scream "kill all men" then you aren't a sjw, you're a social activist. And being a social activist doesn't warrant hate.

They made fun of your asexuality?Let me guess they used the bullshit"but only plants are asexual"argument, didn't they?

It was more or less that they would say, "oh you're one of THOSE people, the ones with 10 genders and disorders." I'm twice as likely to s told that I'm just like g through a phase because of the amount of people slapping it on to feel special. Because of the people who claim to be ace but say that they can still like having sex. >.> it's really annoying and didn't ever happen before the sjws started 'fighting for us'.

Apparently, yes.

If you point out racism in others, apparently you're "racist" yourself. If you attend pro-women/anti-bigotry marches, apparently you're either a "crybaby", or are condemned by people that focus solely on the very few isolated incidences of violence instead of the millions of people exercising their democratic right. If you're too inclusive of different sexuality/genders, you're shrieked at for being "PC", even though it's them throwing the tantrum. If you voice any sort of wish for equality in the facebook comments section, there's a 65% chance you'll be called a "leftard" or, somehow, (and this one always gets me) "hateful".

Such is the world we live in at the moment.

I think that this is probably because some people have taken it so far that it gave even the ideals a bad rep. And that really blows because there are a lot of great liberals/leftists with very valid points. Unfortunately the ones who are actually crybabies are the ones screaming the loudest and making everyone look stupid. Sort of like what I was getting at in my answer when talking about asexuality. Honestly at this point I think both sides are getting cringy. One side's extremists are calling everything offensive and the other side's is calling everything 'whiney millennials crying.' It's crazy.

No, I'm honestly in the same boat as you.
I get so much shit for supporting equality and talking about equal rights...
Honestly I get easily offended by sexist and racist things, even when it's "just a joke". I want to be a fair equalist but I can be a bit of an extremist at times.
But I can't help it when I've gotten so much hate for something just as simple as calling a transgender woman pretty.
So no, you're perfectly fine.

You need to learn why people use certain terms in certain ways before you decide to call yourself it because if you don't. You're extremely immature and naive. There's nothing wrong about wanting those things. THERE'S SOMETHING wrong with an entire group hating people because they exist and that is what sjws do. I am a male and I would get shit just because I am a male. Regardless of my views. That is to say. Have I ever done anything wrong? Yes I have. Should I be hated just for being a male? NO. SJWS are twisted idiots who think the world revolves around them. i want equality just like everyone else on this damn question. That does not mean I'll call myself an SJW. Do think before you use certain words/terms unless you know the history behind them.

That being said there are ALOT of gray areas so you have to make your own educated opinion of what is a good way to use a word/term/phrase.
