Nobody does.
You don't need religion to have morals. If the only reason you're not doing bad things is because you're afraid of an-all powerful being sending you to hell, than you are not morally superior than a person who doesn't need to be others to guide their moral compass and does good of their own volition without a fear of eternal award or punishment.

"Sola fide" ('by faith alone') is solely a Protestant or evangelical Protestant belief- the older denominations (such as Orthodoxy and Catholicism) believe faith must go hand-in-hand with works, and that salvation is a life-long process. Forgive me, but my reading of the Bible suggests against the doctrine of sola fide. Not only did Jesus continually emphasise the importance of good works to one’s fellow man, but there are specific verses that clearly state faith must be coupled with deeds. Recall when a man asked Jesus: “Teacher, what good deed must I do, to have eternal life?”. Jesus did not send him away or correct him. He didn’t say “You are asking the wrong question; you need only to believe in me and you will be saved”. Rather Jesus said to him: “Keep the commandments… You shall not kill; you shall not commit adultery; you shall not steal; you shall not bear false witness; honor your father and mother, and love your neighbour as yourself” (Mat 19:16-19). Later, he warned “On the day many will call out to me ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy and cast out demons in your name?’ And then I will declare to them: ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you evildoers’” (Mat 7:21- 23). And finally, most definitively, recall this verse from James: “Faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead… Faith is completed by works… A person is justified by works and not by faith alone” (James 2:17, 22, 24).

Sorry for the block of text and the copious amounts of Scripture. It's just one belief I can't theologically get my head around, especially considering the implications. Anders Breivik is a devout Christian, though he recently killed more than 80 innocent, unarmed young people in Norway. Will he go to Heaven? This doctrine seems to suggest so. Hitler, too, was reported to be quite religious.
