What is a "prop" on Fanpop?

I'm just kind of confused because everyone is saying, "Oh, I'll give you props" but I don't know what they are so if you could help me, thanks.

They're just a users way of acknowledging you or your content that they liked. You can give specific props for different things i.e. pictures, comments, answers etc. Then these props are stored on your profile.

It's not that important, but some people like the feature.
