PLEASE HELP. IPOD HELP!! A little girls happiness is at stake.

Okay, well my sister (accidentally) dropped her iPod touch 4th generation on the floor and now there's a bit of a grey patch. She has had it for a bit over a year and wants to get the screen replaced. How much will it be? And does it void warranty?

It really depends, and if you've had it longer than a year the warranty is gone. The price will probably be $50-150+ I'm sure.
Sometimes it's just better to buy another one.

Looks like a dead pixel to me. Get the LCD fixed, it's probably going to cost $50-$60 (the cheapest) or could go over that price range. Or you could just trade it in for a new, better phone *cough*Android*cough*. Love the background btw.

That is a good question. Wish I could help, but below is a picture of my old ipod of the same generation. Cracked very badly, has been for about 2 years now lol. I just ended up getting a new one.

But I heard Apple is really good with screen repairs.

Other than that all I can ask is does her ipod still work? Trust me if it does, she'll get used to having the grey patch. I thought I'd never get over the cracks, but I got used to it after a week or so.
