1, keep my cool.
2, tell them," Look... I may seem emo or am an emo, but you just don't call a person that, without having a reason."
3, if they argue back... try to change it back that I have the upper hand.
4, find the best way not to fight.

That happens to me all the time. I usually just say "Your point is?" or "And...?"
Or just ignore them. They won't have fun seeing you react and they'll stop.

it depends on the person saying it really, you come up with the proper insult. you can always say something along the lines of 'Exactly' or 'You are such a genious to see it' or ignore. If it is a hoard of those girls that look exactly alike and always go together like a flock of sheep you can ask 'who thought it would be a good idea to copy-paste a barbie doll/poser/bimbo/whatever inspires you (number of them) times?'. you can smile like a psychopath and say 'But I am not depressed, the doctor said schizophrenia' (adittionally start laughing maniacally). Or say 'Oh now that you said that I have to go cut myself!' and leave. Or 'That's the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me!' or 'Aren't you charming?' or 'Thank you' or 'You scared of the emo freak *wicked smile*' or you can start laughing as if it was the most amusing stupid thing you have heard (acting skills required). Or you can say something like 'You done, mortal?' *dismissive hand gesture and walks away* or just 'Mortals...XD'
