Can you help me? I need some motivation.

You see, I used to rule the world, cease and rise when I gave the word. Now in the morning I sleep alone, sweep the streets I used to own. I used to roll the dice, feel the fear in my enemies' eyes. I would listen to the the crowd as they sing "Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!"

One minute, I had the key. Next thing I know the walls were closing on me. And worst of all I discovered that my castle stands only on pillars of salt and pillars of sand.

I need some help.
