Techincally the last video game I played was Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis and that doesn't have a protagonist, Mass Effect was the last game I played with one.

Let's see here, I played Lollipop Chainsaw last week, and the main character is Juliet Starling, who is not only a cheerleader but also a zombie hunter.

I will have no problems with this whatsoever.
