Does getting your belly button pierced hurt?

As someone who got it done about two months ago at Hairhouse Warehouse, it does hurt, but not nearly as bad as you imagine. Then it'll sting for the rest of the day. By the next morning, it doesn't hurt, though it takes months to heal fully.

I've heard it does; my neighbor had her belly button pierced. But she said it was like a shot, it hurts for a minute and then it's just a little sore afterward.

I have no experience in this department.

Of course it's gonna hurt. You are piercing your belly button, after all. It's only common sense that it would hurt a bit.
As for how much, I'm not sure. I'd just go with what the others are saying. From what I remember when I got my ears pierced (which is somewhat similar) it does sting a bit afterwards, but it shouldn't bug you that much a day or two later.

Every piercing will hurt. Obviously. But, I suggest to maybe go on youtube and look up videos of people getting it pierced to see how it could feel. Ofcourse some people can take pain better than others, So..
