October 2, 2009, Uncle Frank came over today so we can talk about what the next step in my music career is. Uncle Frank said” I think this is a great time for you to go on tour”. Since my cd just came out I was getting even more pumped to start touring. We had not checked to see how many copies it has sold so far. Uncle Frank pulled up a website on my laptop and said” you got to shitting me”. I took the pen cap that I was chewing on out of my mouth and said” what is a matter”? He said” you’ve sold more copies than Thriller”. I jokingly said” no” assuming that he was just joking. He said” I’m serious kid”!!! I laughed as I got up saying” yea O.K., I’ll believe it when I see it” I went over to look at the laptop and he pointed to the number 26 million. I began to feel weak in the knees and said” I need a chair Quick”. I sat down and said” so you mean to tell me I’ve got the bestselling album of all time”. Uncle Frank said” I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree”. I ran up the stairs as fast as I could and went into Prince’s room. I said” I sold 26 million copies of Gone 2 Soon [my album]”!!!!!!! Prince said” no way” and gave me a huge hug. He said” you know what this means right”? I said “you thinking what I’m thinking”? Prince smiled and said” P-A-R-T-Y”. Prince and I raced down the stairs and up to Grandma. We both started talking over the top of each other. Grandma said” wait a second Alanna did you just said that you sold more copies of your album than Thriller”. I said” yea it’s amazing”. Grandma’s mouth dropped and she said” then yes you may have a party”. Prince and I pulled out our cellphones and called everyone we knew. Before long people were knocking on our front door. We were all having a blast and then someone caught my eye. I pulled my cousin Genevieve aside and said” who is that” pointing to a 6 foot tall fair skinned boy. She said” that’s Robbie but he has a girlfriend”. That was such a disappointment for me because I haven’t had much luck with guys since Jake.
October 14, 2009 Today is my first TV appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres show. We are on our way to the place where she does the show and I’m a little nervous. We pulled up to the studio and all of us got out of the car. The whole family came to support me which made me feel better. When we went inside a person showed me my dressing room and a lady styled my hair. While I was waiting for my turn I watched the show backstage. A man gave me the signal to go on the stage and I walked on to it to my remix of Bille Jean. Ellen stood up and gave me a hug. I hiked my skinny jeans up and sat down. She said” how are you doing”? I said” fine just a bit nervous”. She said” so how does it feel to be the best selling artist of all time”. The crowd let out tons of screams and I started to blush. I said” well the tables have turned for the better”. She said what kinds of things did you do before you were famous”? I said” just typical teenage things, play Call of Duty, shoot hoops, and play with my dogs Jackson and Kenya”. She said” before we go any further can you teach me how to moonwalk” I shook my head yes and demonstrated how to do my father’s famous dance move. She tried to copy me but that did not work out so well. I got on my knees and said” no you have to do it like this”. She laughed as I pulled her feet backward. I had no idea that there was a video playing in the background of my dad doing the same thing with Michael Jordan during his Jam music video. I got up and hiked my pants up again. She said” you need a belt”!!! I laughed and gave her a hug before leaving the stage.
