Why is Team Rocket so obsessed with catching Pikachu?

Because those three suck at their job, where as usual Team Rocket members would catch more valuable Pokemon, their more focused on catching this one Pokemon you can probably find in the grass somewhere. And that's why they loose every time to a ten year old

It was because of the second episode season 1 of pokemon. When Ash powered up Pikachu with a bike he gained so much electric power he sent Team Rocket flying and they realized how much power Ash's pikachu had.

I don't know if Giovanni wants Pikachu. If so then that's pathetic as f*ck! And Team Rocket fucking sucks big tits at their job! Why didn't Gio just fire them already?! I might add Jessie, James and Meowth my poll called who's the worst villain in cartoon history?
