Exactly why is Cilan so afraid/scare of Purrloin? Why does he have such a deep fear of that particular Pokemon?

In the episode "Cilan and the Case of the Purloin Witness" Mrs. Ripple had the Eye of Liepard stolen from her prized gem collection, and her Purloin found out that Teaque was the one who stole the gem. Cilan was trying to figure the case out, as was Purloin, and at the end of the episode, Ash asked Cilan why he's so afraid of Purloin, and so he explained the reason to Ash and Iris, although his reason wasn't revealed to the viewers, but by the shocked look on Ash's face, I can for certain say that whatever happened to Cilan was terrible for him. I don't have any theories as to what happened that made Cilan so afraid of Purloin or if he will ever get over his fear of Purloin like Dawn did with her fear of Plusle and Minun, but I hope for Cilan's sake that he will be able to get over his fear one day, although I understand Cilan's fear of Purloin because I am also extremely terrified of a certain Dark and Psychic type Pokémon that starts with "M" and I will NEVER get over my fear of that particular Pokémon.

In my opinion it's because when he was a teenager someone dared him to put one down his pants and it mallet his private parts
