I need help getting the unknown stones in Pokemon Explorers of Sky! Help!

I have a pokemon that can go in the water to pick up the unknown stones.I need help getting the stones to spell "Rock" in unknown form.Does anybody have any tips or the chance of an unknown dropping a stone?
