Pokémon Question

What is the best way to defeat a Garchomp?

Especially those which are sweepers. I can't find a way to outspeed them, especially when the opponent utilizes a Tyranitar's Sand Stream to assist Garchomp's Sand Veil.

ICE BEAM! Its almost always a 1-2 hit kill if even underleveled by 5. Most fast water types (like Starmie) can learn Ice beam

Problem is, a Garchomp which is Choice scarfed and EV trained to the max on attack and Special attack can still KO that with an Outrage... Garchomp is mainly the most difficult Pokemon to predict for me.

Oops, Did I say Specail Attack? I meant Special Defense.

it being a 4x super effective should still take it down, if it gets it off in time though

I'd rather use Milotic, Hitmonchan, or another Garchomp . Get a Dragon gem and use Dual Chop or Dragon Rush .

Any Pokemon that could learn ice type moves is fine, but you'd be best to go with some pure Ice-types. They have a high Special Defense, which can soak up any critical and/or super effective hits. You could try getting a Glaceon or Abomasnow, and that should do the job.

That or you can just get a higher leveled Pokemon that could take it down. That's what I did.

In Flat Battles, you and your opponent are put to level 50, so it's more on strategy.

Abomasnow and Glaceon are slower than garchomp and can be beaten easily by Garchomp . And remember, Garchomp can learn flamethrower too .

I would get a quick claw for the chance of getting to move first. I would use Hail to take it's HP out little by little. I wouldn't suggest using Glaceon for one thing, because it's defense isn't that good. I would most likely use Mamoswine, since he is part ground.

Hail doesn't do extra damage via typing that I am aware off.

Make sure ur pokemon can be usually be one-shotted and make it hold the focus band, or the other can't remember which does what, and have endeavor and quick attack. risky move but effective none-the-less.

But everyone knows the F.E.A.R. strategy, especially my friend who owns the Garchomp and he has counters against it.

if everyone knows it and they know u don't use it before the fight, u can catch them by surprise
