i finished diamond version, so i think where i went is almost the same in platinum version. you should go to the other side of mount. cornet(the entrance in hearthome city). when you enter, try to go left, when you reach a dead end go up, you'll see another entrance(ignore it),keep going on the same direction, you'll find another dead end and water,go right and press A(on the water) to use the hidden move surf, after you reach a dead end, go down until you reach a brown bar(don't jump over it). go left, you'll see a rocky wall(it has about eight small rocks) press A on it so that you use the hidden move rock climb, you'll find stairways, go to it(you'll reach another room in the mountain). go up, left, down, left, up, left, down, right, up, left, up, right, down, left, up, left, you'll find a broken wall that leads to another room, enter it. keep going forward, you'll find stairs, go to it, and it'll lead yo to another room. in the room, there are two stairs go to the one that's up, go left, down, there is another broken wall, enter it. this will lead you to a snowy place outside. go up on the stairs, right, forward, left. you'll find up a dead end, but if you look closely there are tiny rocks that's for climbing, use again the move rock climb. go left, and down, there's a grey colored rock, press A on it so that you use the hidden move strength. push it twice. keep going left, up, there's a broken wall, enter it. keep going forward, there's another rocky wall, do the same thing. go forward, left, forward, right, down, left, down, left, another entrance is found, enter it. again leads you to a snowy place. go up, left, up, go down on the stairs, up. use rock climb on the left rocky wall. go left, forward,left, forward,, left, down. there's another broken wall, go to it. go down, right, another stairways go to it. go right,, down, left, stairways (enter). left,, forward. there's the final broken wall that leads to spear pillar, before you enter make sure that you're Pokemon are healed cause you'll battle two galactic grunts, the two commanders, the leader, and a legendary pokemon.
