I think you are right, Giovanni must be Ash's father . I mean in the game Pokemon Gold, Giovanni gives up and becomes a real gym leader, but it doesn't connect with the anime, he is still doing evil now in pokemon Best Wishes . And Ash has never fought Giovanni, and they hardly met much, so he really must be his father . I do not know, but that's what I am guessing now .
