Have you ever encountered/caught any Shiny Pokemon excluding the Red Gyarados at Lake of Rage that you're guaranteed to meet and Event Shinies?
I remember that in either Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald I caught a Shiny Nincada and since this was before I knew about Shiny Pokemon I had no clue why it was gold. :P I also caught a Shiny Tentacool in Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald too. But I've been playing Pokemon for years and I've only seen two that I can remember/noticed anything was weird other than the Red Gyarados and Shiny Pokemon from events.
Yea ive caught the Red Gyarados at the Lake of Rage but i caught a Shiny Zubat in Pokemon Leafgreen i kept freaking out cause i thought it was a glitch in the game and i was worried that all the rest of the pokemon would have messed up color schemes to. thoose are the only shiny's ive ever encountered in the games and ive played every single one of them.
No, but one of my friends found a random wild Medicham(XP spelling). I think it was on Platinum. Another guy I know found a random shiny Graveler. It's mine now, and it's a Golem now (thank goodness, I hate Graveler, and it's shiny color makes it look like a living piece of poo). I believe that was also on Platinum.
It's not that surprising, for me to find the resident normal type, but it was fast... but I caught it like that and trained the Raticate from a Rattata.
I've only encountered ONE Shiny and that was a Hoot-Hoot when I just STARTED Gold and I had to press run because I didn't have any Pokeballs and I didn't want to make it faint,AND I was up to going to Mr.Pokemon's house!and after that I didn't see any more,I haven't caught any shiny's though.I'm so unlucky when it comes to finding and catching Shiny Pokemon T,T
Well yeah thats it but the first one I saw was the Shellos but I thought it was just another colored one at the time as I never heard of shiny Pokemon.And so far White is the only one I have not found a shiny Pokemon in.

I was under pressure catching the Quagsire as it was in the SAFARI ZONE and I only had like 5 safari balls left!And I almost forgot I got a shiny Graveler and evolved it into a Golem oh and a random shiny Golduck and a shiny Gyarados both in Diamond
And a shiny Bibarel fled in the Great Marsh I was so angry I literally took the game card out and threw against a brick wall and guess what it still works
