Pokémon Question

Pokemon in a Laboratory?

Okay. So most of you know that Mewtwo, Porygon, Porygon2, and Porygon Z were made in a laboratory, right?

Well, were they even Pokemon? I mean, they were not created naturally (with an egg or something like that) and Mew was just a copy of another Pokemon. I don't see why they are Pokemon, let alone Mewtwo being legendary.

The info of each from the official site:

Porygon: The world's first artificially created Pokemon. It can travel through electronic space. (My note: Then why is it a normal type? Shouldn't it be electric?).

Porygon2: With planetary development software installed, it became capable of working in space.

Porygon Z: Additional software was installed to make it a better Pokemon (My note: You can't install software into a Pikachu or another Pokemon.) It began acting oddly, however.

Mewtwo: A Pokemon created by recombining Mew's genes. It is said to have the most savage heart among Pokemon.

So what do you think? After reading that info, I don't think it is possible that they can be real Pokemon. But that's just my opinion. What do you think and why? I would like to hear why some people would think they are Pokemon. There have got to be some pretty good reasons.

Thank you!

Mewtwo: this is a pokemon that used another pokemons DNA. Since it was still actually created because of pokemon, it is considered a living pokemon

porygons: this is a tough one, I will admit. I believe they count this as a pokemon because it is a creature with a soul. How data could recieve a soul I don't know, but since it isn't a human, it must be a pokemon.

Then again, the anime has proved that a datified pokemon can have a soul. In the special for the ten year aniversery, "Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon", there was a mew. That mew was data, but when mew was deleted, it came back when Ash and friends needed him.

Hope this helps

Mewtwo does sound like it should still be called a Pokemon since it's just an enhanced clone of Mew, but Porygon is 50% Pokemon (since it can be captured by a Poke ball) and 50% Digimon (since it is a digital monster.)

Ya! I guess it can be a digimon, if you look at it that way!
