Help Help Help HELP! (Concerning, um, I guess a Bad Egg?)

Um, so I have an Action Replay and I was battling Lucian and I caught his Gallade and it was like, "Would you like to give a nickname to the caught Bad Egg?" And I freaked out and shut the game off. Maybe it's nothing to worry about, but yeeeah. My Mom and the hairdresser didn't get why a Bad Egg would be bad. So can you tell me what happened and if I have anything to worry about?
