Hello, I'm hoping that someone is still reading my fan fictions because it would make me cry if you weren't, haha. This is all I could finish for tonight, but I'll have more up tomorrow because I think I'm going to be snowed in for the day and I hate snow so I'll write for the day :)

“Lauren! Chiron wants to see you in the big house. Now,” Madeline said running over towards me.
“What does he need?” I asked still looking down at the sword I was giving to a new kid. I thought it was a good fit, but now I’m not sure… hmm.
“I don’t know! He just told me to get you, so I would get going.”
“Alright, alright I’m going,” I said putting the sword down in Bernadette’s hands, who was the new kid I was talking about.
“Have fun!” Madeline said smirking.
“Oh be quiet, he just wants to talk. I didn’t do anything bad,” I insisted and ran towards the big house.
“Chiron! Um, Maddie said that you needed me?” I asked walking around to the other side of the porch where I found Chiron and Mr. D playing pinochle.
“Ah, yes. Hello child. We need you and two other people of course, to go on a mini quest. We heard that there are chances of Percy being in south Philadelphia because there is Cyclops there working for Gaea. Will you accept this quest?”
“Well, thank you Chiron, but I’m afraid for the Athena cabin. Can’t you contact Annabeth and tell her that there are some hints that Percy would be in Philly? I don’t want to leave them without me and Annabeth,” I said looking down at my shoes and occasionally back up at Chiron. I felt bad turning down this quest, but it’ll be too hard for the Athena cabin to manage. Besides, without me Malcolm will be left in charge, and that won’t lead to good things.
“I understand what you are saying, Lauren. But I can’t get a hold of Annabeth, and I think that the Athena cabin will be just fine. You guys and girls are well- smart, of course.”
“Okay Chiron, I will accept the quest,” I told him, but I wanted to take back my words once I said them. Who was I going to take? I couldn’t take Madeline, too young.
“Nico has offered to join you,” Chiron said as he won yet another game of pinochle against Mr.D.
“Well, okay, but who else is going to come?”
“Madeline.”
“What?” I asked. He was kidding, right?
“I think that she’s old enough for this. It’s just to Philadelphia which is only two hours away. Any problems, you come straight back here,” He insisted never taking his eyes off of me.
“Well, if you think that it’s alright and that she is ready, then I can’t help but to agree with you.”
“Great. You will leave tomorrow.”
