Luke does play an important role in Percy Jackson. I mean seriously he becomes Kronos. He has to kill himself just to kill the Kronos spirit. What would happpen in the movies without Luke?

i dont think luke died he just got thrown into the ocean at like 100 miles per hour and since its a movie that aint nothing to kill someone, and if you dont think about the fact that luke got thrown into posidons territory he would probably just end up beached on the shores of manhattan plotting his revenge (if this really happens i would be freakin physcic)

He might not have died, He might have been able to swim back... and never returned to Camp Half Bloood.
