The final, and longest, part. Enjoy!
Rica, Ru, and Urka stayed with the team for a week before discovering military and zoo life was not for them. They needed to be free.
Kowalski rigged up the machine again, except this time it put them right in the cave.
"So we can visit each other any time," Kowalski had said.
Ivy began skipping missions to watch the egg. She took great care of it, and was an overprotective mother by slapping anyone who got too close to it, except Johnson, Private, and Marlene. She absolutely refused to let Skipper train it young, no matter how much he pleaded.
Johnson was also a great parent. Sometimes he took a shift to watch the egg. He was also an overprotective parent, but a loving one. He talked to the egg, unsure if the chick could hear him, but did it anyway. He mostly talked about the wonders of the earth, like the grass, sun, and moon. He though this would urge the chick to come out.
After about a month, the chick was ready to hatch, but stayed an extra week. Then...
"So now what do we do?" Skipper asked.
"We could just go on without them," Kowalski said.
"Negative, Kowalski!"
"We could get a babysitter," Private suggested.
"I dout Ivy would like that," Kowalski said.
"I could babysit," Private said.
"Remember what happened the last time you babysat," Skipper said.
Johnson came up from the HQ.
"Ivy said we'll need to carve out a bed for the egg," he said.
"Oh, come on!" Skipper said. "She already planned that far! Who says it was even going to survive!"
"We do," Johnson said. He made a face at Skipper.
"Alright!"
"I'm gonna go see Ivy," Private said.
He went in the HQ. Ivy was sitting in her bunk, cradling the egg in her arms. She looked up, am saw Private.
"Oh, hi," she said. "Did you come to see the egg again?"
"No, I just wanted to see how you were doing,"
"Do you want to see it anyway?"
"Yeah,"
Private sat next to Ivy. He looked at the egg.
"I can't wait till it hatches," he said.
"I bet you'll be a great uncle,"
Kowalski came in the HQ.
"Sorry if I ruined a moment," he said, "I just need something." He grabbed something off the table, then went over to Ivy.
"Do you want me to test it again, to see when it will hatch?" he asked.
"A mother knows," Ivy said.
"Can I?"
"Don't touch the egg!" Ivy slapped Kowalski.
"Don't mess with a mother," Private chuckled.
"Fine," Kowalski said. He went back outside.
"Do you really know?" Private asked.
"Yes,"
"When will it hatch?"
"Well, I don't know for sure, all I know is that it will sometime today."
"Soon?"
"Maybe,"
Just then, the door opened. Marlene came in.
"How's it going?" she asked.
"Great!" Private said.
"I meant the egg,"
"You can come and see," Ivy said.
Marlene came over.
"Do you know when it will hatch?" she asked.
"Maybe soon," Private said.
"Do you hear that?" Ivy asked.
"Hear what?" Marlene said.
"Ivy has sensitive ears," Private said, "she can hear things we can't."
"The egg's hatching!" Ivy exclaimed.
"What?" Private and Marlene said.
"Get Johnson! The egg's hatching!" Ivy said.
"Okay," Private said. He ran outside.
"This is so exciting!" Marlene said. "Do you want a boy or girl?"
"Girl," Ivy said.
"Definitely!" they both said.
Private came back in, with Johnson at his tail.
"Did we miss anything?" Private asked.
"Nope," Ivy said.
"Where are the others?" Marlene asked.
"They'll be here as soon as they finish something." Johnson said.
They heard a tapping. They looked at the window, there was Rico.
"I hope they finish soon," Private said, "I can hear the egg cracking!"
"I hear it, too!" Marlene said.
"How long does it take an egg to hatch?" Private asked.
"Minutes to days," Ivy sad, "it depends how strong the chick is."
"Well, it will have my muscles," Johnson said, "so it should be pretty quick."
Marlene and Private started at him.
"What?"
"I see a crack in the egg," Marlene said.
"It's been there, Marlene," Private said.
"Oh, well, I mean it's bigger!"
"Told you it had my muscles," Johnson said.
The rest of the team came in.
"So, how's it going?" Skipper asked.
"Okay," Ivy said.
"Can I see the egg?" Kowalski asked.
"Fine," Ivy said.
Kowalski moved in next to Johnson.
"Guys, give Ivy some space!" Marlene said.
"Sorry," Private said. He moved out of the way.
"No, it's fine," Ivy said.
"Little beak!" Johnson exclaimed. "I see a little beak!"
Sure enough, there was a small beak poking out of the egg.
A few minutes later, the chick in the egg was almost out. Everybody was still for a moment, then out popped a little head.
The chick started up at Ivy.
"Mommy?" it peeped.
"Aw!" everybody exclaimed. Private fainted.
Johnson put his flippers on Ivy's shoulders. The proud father smiled.
"Isn't she precious!" Ivy said
"I know," Johnson said.

The End
when a knife came crashing through the window. Skipper picked up the knife. It had a screen with decreasing numbers on it.
He asked Rico what it was. Rico said, "uh-oh."
Rico took the knife from Skipper and threw it. They all jumped topside. The knife exploded. They saw a piece of paper. Skipper picked it up. It had a picture of Abigail on it. Skipper looked up. Abigail was gone.
Kowalski and Skipper sat in the base. Kowalski was crying and Skipper was trying to figure out how the DNA tester worked. Private walked in "whats going on?" he asked.
"We don't know where Abigail is," Skipper said.
"Would this help?" Private asked, holding out a piece of paper.
Skipper grabbed the piece of paper from him. It said: to be continued.
Kowalski was sitting in his bed when he heard the transporting truck. He went topside. His girlfriend, Abigail, was there.
Abigail had green eyes and long eyelashes. Her feathers were soft and shiny. She was Skipper's sister.
Kowalski hadn't seen Abigail since high-school.
Kowalski was about to hug Abigail when he realized that she might not like him anymore. They hadn't seen each other in such a long time.
Abigail ran over and kissed Kowalski.
I have writers block now, sorry it's so short. I'll write more later.
