Peaceandlove67 Question

What is a song that always makes you cry?

For me, it would be "Too Much Rain" by Paul McCartney. It's mainly because I sang it at a friend's funeral. She loved Paul McCartney, and that song was her personal favorite, so I can't listen to it without crying.

"Here Today" by Paul McCartney never fails to make me cry. This is partially because I know the background, but it's mostly because it makes me think about my friend who died in 2010. The recorded version is a tearjerker on it's own, but the live version is even more heartbreaking.

Mine would have to be "Never Without You" by Ringo Starr. It's such a beautiful and touching tribute to his friendship with George Harrison, and you can tell how much he means to him just by listening to it. It never fails to make me teary-eyed.

Mine is 'Scarborough Fair' by Simon and Garfunkel. Before my mom got dementia she used to sing it all the time (she had the prettiest voice) and now every time I hear it I literally start crying.

For me, it would be "1916" by Motorhead. If you're familiar at all with the song, I shouldn't have to explain why.

Yes, I'm familiar with the song. It goes over the harsh realities of young people in war. I can understand why it would make anyone cry.

Yes, Eric Clapton did write "Tears in Heaven" for his son. Of course, it makes all of us think of someone we lost.
