"You can't be serious...!" I say in a voice that shows that I am just talking to myself. Things are really getting out of control now, and what is worse and more confusing is that it only happened to the girls. Why is it like this? Why not a boy? Is the nature somehow trying to kill off every single girl on this planet nowadays? I feel I am totally out of my mind and in the middle of the world of huge confushion.
"This makes no sense!" say Marucho and I can't help agreeing with him.
I throw a quick glance at Maria and Elaf. Both of them have stopped in a different way. Maria is sitting with her back against the stone behind her with closed eyes and a hand on her head which shows that she has heacache. Or more correctly; had. Elaf is in the half way to stand up. Her legs are bown and she seemly got to lift her left forearm a bit before she stiffened up. But I see something strange in her glance. It's as though it speaking. Whether telling you not to come any closer, or just trying to point out something that she wanted to show us. Could it be something like that? I mean, why would she tell any of her team mates that are between the lines of life and death, to back off at all? It wouldn't make any sense. I convinse myself that it's something she wanted to show us, so I slowly follow her brown eyes and look diagonally behind me. Is there anything that caught her attention?
"What are we going to do now?" says Dan and barely cares about coming on his feet. "This is rideculous! What is happening to the girls here?!"
"It's really strange," says Marucho. "Why the girls? And why all of them?"
"Well, what is absolutely strange here is that they just stiffened up all of a sudden. Is that even possible?"
"It seems so," says Marucho and looks at Maria. "Poor Maria. She must feel really low by now."
I look at Elaf's glance once again to make sure that I caught the exactly same position that she's staring at. Then I walk towards that place. It a place with many bushes and three trees.
What is so tempting about that? I think and ignore Dan's and Marucho's calls after me. Probably because I barely hear them when I focus on my way. I stop by the bushes and start to look for something I don't know. Then I turn around and look at Elaf again. She's even seems to wanted to run to this direction, but why? What did she see?
[...]
I am right behind the tree and he can't be more than three meters away from me. If I move, he may hear my steps and chase me. But if I stay, he may come closer and find me here, hiding from them.
But I can't go. I can't move.
I shouldn't!

Now I (Elaf) would like to ask you, dear reader: "Who do you think that the person behind the tree is?"
