Pete informs all of his engineers, and fireponies that every diesel on their railway has been fitted with radios. Now, they can talk to each other while working.
Hawkeye had plans to throw a party, and when he hears about the radios, he makes an idea to us them as a way to invite all his friends to a party at his house.
The party was a success, but as they try to sleep, a thunderstorm interrupts them.
Hawkeye tells a story to pass the time until the storm ends. It was about three ponies working on a German Railway in 1935. One of them is the oldest, and since nopony hired him to work on another railway, he decided to go to his house to sleep. However, things happen, and trees, and bushes grow around his house, and prevents it from being seen.
There was more to the story, but Hawkeye didn't get to finish it.
Episode 56
Finish The Story
Date: August 26, 1956
Location: Cheyenne, Wyoming
Hawkeye: *Stops passenger train at station*
Stylo: Good, we made it on time.
Hawkeye: *Look at clock* And it's 7 PM. Time to go home. *Gets out of engine*
Stylo: *Following Hawkeye*
Pete: You two going home?
Hawkeye: Yep. See you tomorrow.
Pete: Likewise.
Stylo: See you around Pete.
Pete: Adios Stylo.
As the two stallions walked out of the train station, they saw everypony else waiting for them.
Stylo: Ah, we have a welcoming committee.
Hawkeye: Either I'm becoming famous, or they want me to marry Metal Gloss.
Orion: Hawkeye, can you finish that story you were talking about last night?
Hawkeye: The one about Duke?
Coffee Creme: Oui. That was a good story, but it needs to be finished.
Mirage: Indeed it was, but please remind us about the previous parts of the story so far.
Hawkeye: Very well. As you know..
Hawkeye is narrating for the rest of this episode.
Duke was an old pony, and worked with two other ponies named Richard, and Steven. They teased Duke, and called him Grandpa, but they worked well together.
But the mines they used to transport coal around started to close down. Then their line closed down.
The young ponies went into The United States to find work, but Duke was left alone. He went to sleep, but everything around him changed. His house was surrounded by trees, bushes, and today it's probably underground. However, Duke was not forgotten.
Years passed, and a few days ago in Ogden Utah, two stallions were wondering about Duke. Their names were Roger, and Anthony. They were once called Steven, and Richard respectively, but they prefer their new names.
Roger: Sir, I insist you let us go to Germaneigh to find this pony.
Michael: Well, it's been a long time. For all I know, he's probably dead.
Anthony: It's worth a shot. We must find him, and if he is still alive, we want him to work here with us.
Michael: Fine. Go find him. I will get other ponies to take over for you until you return.
Roger: Thank you sir.
Anthony: You won't regret this.
So Roger, and Anthony left to go find Duke.
