Near: A young detective trying to catch Kira, as good as L
Mallo: A criminal also trying to catch Kira
Sidoh: A shinigami
Halle: A member of Near's investigation group
Anthony: A member of Near's Investigation group
Teru: A follower of Kira with a strong sense of justice
