As the UK is in its yearly obsession with the X Factor I was just wondering what your opinion was on them. I for one cannot effing stand them. There is so much hype over a group of fame hungry people who are actually rather talentless. Sorry about the rant I just hate them :P

I find them entertaining, but relatively pointless.

They make it too easy for some people to become musical sensations. It's easy for someone to notice your talent when you're on television for the whole world to watch. People are going to detect more talent than what's actually there because they're expecting it.

With artists that made it to the top on their own, they are selected by professionals who actually know what it takes to be a star. They listen to mediocre musicians all the time, so they're not necessarily expecting great talent. It takes more talent to impress these people than it does to impress random people watching television.

I hate American Idol, like almost every other music based talent shows.

I do watch them and I'm not ashamed of that.
As long as you know that in the real world the contestants won't make it and in a year you'll forget who most of them are. ;)
It's good to see a real star ermerge though.

OMW CSI_Rachael! I couldn't agree with you more about X Factor. All it seems to do is turn people into the same old clone.

I can't stand them

I don't hate them..they just don't interest me..they never have interested me actually..but they're okay I guess.

I find them very boring.
