I have to agree those are not to me considered true musicals, you should have had things like Rocky Horror Picture Show,The Producers, Rent even Across the Universe is better, or the classic Hair.

Just because you don't like something, doesn't mean you can change it's genre, people! High School Musical- is a musical! I've never seen it, but I'm still pretty sure people burst out into song for no apparent reason on more than one occasion during it- that equals musical. Maybe it's not a good musical but of course that's subjective.

I like classics.
I hate the high school musicals. knowing them it'll be high school reunion after the 3rd one, then it'll be high school retirement, and then high school funneral, and then high school afterlife and so forth. there will never be an end to it.
