Music Question

Music recommendations??

Does anyone know any really good bands or artists? I really like My Chemical Romance, All Time Low, and Pierce the Veil. Also Evanescence and dark, sort of gothic music such as that. Any bands that have a unique sound, and possibly a really good one that's female fronted because I don't listen to a lot of those. Thanks in advance ^-^

Or possibly some pop music, but like Lily Allen

I think you might like Nightwish, Within Temptation, Flyleaf, the Pretty Reckless, Apocalyptica.
You could also get a Pandora account, type in an artist you like and it will make a station of similar artists that you can listen to and see if you like.

I don't know about bands like My Chemical Romance, but if you want something Evanescence-ish...

-Nightwish's album 'Once'
-Nightwish's album 'Century Child'
-Kamelot's album 'Ghost Opera' (actually anything in Kamelot's discography)
-Xandria's album 'Neverworld's End'
-Tarja's album 'My Winter Storm'
-Tarja's album 'What Lies Beneath'
-Within Temptation's album 'The Heart of Everything'
-Mortal Love's album 'Forever Will Be Gone'

Lacuna Coil's music is also frequently called similar to Evanescence's. I'd suggest to start with Comalies, the album I think that gets compared to Evanescence the most.

Sirenia's albums 'The 13th Floor', 'The Enigma of Life', and 'At Sixes and Sevens' are also comparable to Evanescence.

If you're looking for catchy melodies/riffs, look up Jorn's 'Bring Heavy Rock to the Land' and 'Spirit Black', Hammerfall's 'No Sacrifice, No Victory' and 'Glory to the Brave', Alestorm's 'Black Sails at Midnight', 'Back Through Time' and 'Captain Morgan's Revenge', Helloween's 'Gambling With the Devil' [actually just look up any power metal album], Nightwish's Dark Passion Play and Wishmaster, Crom's 'Vengeance', and Epica's 'Design Your Universe'.

Btw, Nightwish, Xandria, Within Temptation, Mortal Love, Lacuna Coil, Sirenia, and Epica are all female-fronted, and Tarja is a female solo-artist. :)
