What do you think of Avatar?

The visuals are amazing, but that's about it. And no amount of shiny dazzling special effects can blind me to how lame the story is. I mean, seriously? Pocahontas with overgrown smurfs? "Unobtainium"?? Seriously? >.< How stupid can you get? Sorry, but Avatar does NOT deserve all the hype it's getting IMO...plus, the whole "Man = BAAAAD, Nature = Good" is one of my worst pet peeves. Painfully cliche and preachy. Bleh. >__>

It was okay, not the best movie I've seen, and certainly not as great as people make it out to be.

Definitely My all time fav. Its the perfect swist of Sci-Fi Action and a romance! Three Words, EPIC BRILLIANT and 5 *****! Its like a uptdated version of Pocahantus! AWESOME, Truly outstanding.

It's really pretty but the plot's been done before.

I loved it! I went and seen it in 3D. And I bought it on DVD the same day it came out. Alot of people think it's a boring movie, and that's fine. Whatever floats their boat, but I LOVE it!

It was ok,but i've seen better but i did enjoy it. i watched it in 3D and fainted after,which was stupid -- it got boring after a while then good, then boring, then good again,i liked the ending:)

Well, io wnet and watched this film in 3D with my bestfriend and she really didnt like it however I thought its was brilliant. at times it went a bit downhill but so do most movies. I liked the storyline and everything. this film had by far the best graphics i have ever seen and i dont think a lot of people appreciate that. if anyone has played the game guildwars a few of the scenes in avatar look like the ones in guildwars like the floating islands. The film is one of the most expensive films ever made around 300 million wasnt it? and i think its money well spent!

it sucked if you watch the show m night shomolona ding song messed it up.

It was very fun to watch in IMAX 3D. The graphics were really good but for the overall story, it's been done before. Pocahontas, anyone??

It was better than okay, but not FANTASTIC. Still, I enjoy watching it over and over again. It's definitely not my favorite movie, but it's fun to watch.

Pretty good film, average story but the visuals are fantastic especially on blu-ray.
