Since they're the 2 oldest beauty pageants, I would like to write down my favourite Miss Universe and Miss World winners, as well as their runner-ups too.
Natalie Glebova
I really admire on how she stood up to Donald Trump after he gave a disparaging remark about Mexican immigrants. I also feel sorry for her during her reigns especially!
She told us about her childhood and I'm very proud of her that she became a mother.
Amelia Vega & Rosanna Davison
These 2 girls share a common theme to each other, Amelia Vega is the niece of Juan Luis Guerra while her Miss World counterpart, Rosanna Davison of Ireland is the daughter of the one-hit wonder Chris De Burgh. Who sang Lady in Red!
If there was a movie, I would to see the two of them feature in it as a moral support for the main protagonist.
Zhang Zilin & Riyo Mori
They met each other in Moscow and in Mexico City, I was very happy that they got to know each other more while in the latter. In fact, I have always wonder if they still remain in contact with each other since?
Ksenia Sukhinova
Another Slavic beauty from Russia, sadly she did not had the chance to compete in Miss Universe 2008. But she won the Miss World title of the same year!
Rolene Strauss
Another stunner from South Africa, she was inspired by Jo-Ann Strauss (no relations), who was Miss South Africa 2000. I'm very happy for her that she was the third South African winner to win the title!
Megan Young & Gabriela Isler
Once again, they met each other in Russia and they also celebrate Megan's birthday there. How sweet of Gabriela and Elmira (Miss Russia) to give Megan a nice surprise!
Kaiane Aldorino
The first Miss World from Gibraltar, after her reigns, she works for the government from what I had heard and became a mother! How sweet.
Stefania Fernandez
Kaiane's Miss Universe counterpart, sadly they never met each other and I wish they did anyway. But I hope one day when Kaiane visit Venezuela or when Stefania visits Gibraltar!
Alexandria Mills
The second American Miss World, she has a spunkiness and there is something else in her that I really like.
Yu Wenxia
The second Miss World from China, she has an amazing voice and hope that she will continue to become a famous singer in the future!
Mereia Lalaguna
The reigning Miss World from Spain, when I first heard that she won and first saw her in the newspaper regarding her win. I knew that there was something in her that enchanted everyone!
Cynthia Olavarria & Renata Sone
The first and second runner up to Natalie Glebova, in fact the 2005 contestants are extraordinary pretty and smart in their own ways.
Natalia Guimaraes & Ha Nui Lee
The first and third runner up to Riyo Mori, a lot of people said that Ha Nui should have won. But I'm very neutral about this if only if the translator did not screw up on her part!
Azra Akin
I adore her and she is the second Muslim Miss World winner, I'm very happy that she's a judge for future Miss World pageants!
Priscilla Perales
Although she is the only Miss International winner, I actually prefer her over Ximena for a number of reasons.
Conclusion
So there you have it, I hope that you enjoy reading it.
