Once we were home again, Michael was feeling still down after what had happened.
"Michael, forget about it, please?" I begged. Michael walked over to his bed and sat down, burying his head in his hands. He sighed.
"I can't, that wasn't a good place for someone your age to be.." Michael replied with a frown.
"I'm ok, it's you I'm worried about. Those guys were awful, they shouldn't have done that to you..!" I told him, sitting down on the bed next to him and stroking his back. Michael looked up at me, tears in his eyes.
"I hate being like this in front of you, but my emotions and everything are all over the damn place.." Michael confessed.
"I understand Michael, you are the biggest star in the world, you're gonna have problems like this.." I comforted him. He wiped his tears away.
"I just want them to stop with it. I don't like lies. I hate being humiliated like this, I hate it!" Michael yelled out of anger, making me jump.
"Sorry.. I didn't mean to shout, I shouldn't be concentrating on me. It's your birthday soon after all, I need to plan for that too." Michael said, forcing a smile and patting my head gently.
"You don't need to worry about me Michael, my birthday present is being best friends with you.." I smiled. Michael's smile was now natural and not forced.
"Aww, that's sweet, thank you Becky." Michael replied. I giggled, then Michael looked at his watch.
"Gosh! Look at the time! You better go to bed Becky!" Michael giggled. I jumped up from the bed and Michael took my hand and brought me to my room.
"Michael?" I asked.
"Yes, Princess?" Michael smiled. I loved when he called me Princess. I found it real sweet.
"What was it like growing up with your parents living with you?" I asked.
"Well.. It was nice. I liked it. We had our ups and downs but... It was sweet. Why do you ask?" Michael asked.
"Well...I haven't seen my mum or dad..Or any of my family, or friends.. For years now.." I frowned. Then I realised what I had said sounded mean to Michael.
"No, no, don't get me wrong, you're enough for me Michael, but, y'know.. I just.." I started saying.
"I get it, you don't need to explain yourself.." Michael smiled, "I get that you miss your family a lot." He added.
"I do.." I frowned, tears filling my eyes. I didn't want to show Michael I was upset so I looked away from Michael, but he knew what I was doing.
"Don't cry, please, don't cry.. Be happy, be happy, smile.." Michael comforted me. I tried to stop crying because it looked unfair for Michael, almost as if I wasn't happy to be living with him, but that wasn't the case.
"Michael.. I love being with you, so, so much. You know that right?" I asked.
"Of course I do. And I also understand that you wanna see your family, it's understandable. Don't worry, don't cry, be happy." Michael told me, wiping my tears away and pressing my lips gently with his fingers to make my mouth look as if it were smiling.
"Michael!" I giggled, playfully slapping his arm to get him off me.
"Heehee.. Sorry.. Anyway, it's getting late. Goodnight Princess." Michael smiled. I snuggled down in my bed.
"Goodnight Michael." I whispered. He bent down and kissed my forehead and then walked to the door. He blew a kiss and closed the door, turning the light off first. I zoned out after that.

Michael and Quincy sat in the room, listening to the tapes that were recorded just a few hours ago. It was unclear what Quincy thought, but Michael felt the grown up and disco feel it had. " This is gonna sell." He mumbled excitedly. Quincy nodded in agreement before standing up. " Hey Mike, I gotta go, my wife Peggy is waiting for me. And so is her shrimp gumbo. See ya later Funky." He left.
Now I was alone, with nobody to be found. So, I packed up everything and left. Mother was probably get worried, so I called my driver to get me home, since my car was in the shop getting repainted.
