Self Fulfilling Prophecy. Positive or negative expectations about circumstances, events, or people that may affect a persons behavior toward them in a manner

Krlgharrah gave Merlin many waning about a prophecy that he predicted. 'He told Merlin Mordred would be the one to kill Arther which led to Merlin being distant with him. He also warned Merlin about Morgana's betrayal which led to Merlin not helping her when she found out about her magic.

Oh god, all that crap about "Morgana is destined to be evil, you must kill her" was utter BS! His stupid property happened exactly BECAUSE Merlin listened to him and Gaius instead of helping Morgana.

It's also crap for a intelligent creature to talk like that. NOTHING will just happen no matter what, our choices is what shapes the future, and if I remember correctly Gaius even said this on the show :P

I also hated when Merlin said in 3x02 "I should never have trusted Morgana" I mean seriously? You were the one who poisoned HER when she was your friend, and you should never have trusted her? I think the witters messed up adding that quote for Merlin.

one of the reasons i don't like merlin lol. morgana turning evil? all his fault because, as articuno said, he listened to a dragon over his fucking FRIENDS.
also it's definitely canon that mordred turning on camelot squad was his fault. if merlin had tried to help mordred out and had been kind to him (a kid who has been NOTHING but sweet, respectful, and helpful to merlin) instead of doing the stupid thing and not trusting him, everything would have been fine.
merlin should have been the most sympathetic to these two; he knows what it's like hiding your magic and struggling. but no, because he's selfish and stupid, merlin 1. refuses to help those who need it most, and 2. basically damns all the druids by telling arthur that magic has no place in camelot instead of, i dont know, helping show his apparent 'best friend' that magic is not all evil?
wow this turned into a rant im sorry anyway dont attack me merlin stans
