I knew that they'd be her main couple (from comments on a Daredevil review video). I didn't ship them at first during season 1 of Luke Cage, because their dynamic felt more like her just nagging him into accepting his superhero role. They grew on me and I shipped them by the end of the season, during Iron First and The Defenders and at the start of season 2. Then the writers threw in that domestic violence subtext which tainted the pairing for me. I particularly dislike how Claire's quote about not being able to risk falling in love with someone so close to becoming what he hated, had basically become true and now applied to Luke/Claire by the end of season 2.
