Not in a bad way, anyway. She just thinks differently than the majority of people, that's all.

Okay, I know its fantasy on my part, but, I always believe that Luna's was an open and unblocked gift of Legilimens. Plus being phenominally smart. Anyone here watch Doctor Who on the BBC? Remember how he says things that no one else can understand but its actually because he's usually 2 steps ahead of everyone else and can't take the time to slow down and explain his though processes to anyone.
That's how I see Luna. A combination of raw intelligence and unblocked Legilimens. LOL! Love her!

She's sane. She just thinks differently to most people and doesn't exactly have a filter

I like Luna because she’s different, and she also has her own way of thinking, too. I felt bad for her (and still do) whenever I read her telling Harry in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix that people would think she was a bit odd, refer to her as “Loony Lovegood”, and also take her things.
