as much as i love shampoo i think Lum is better in personality and i think shes prettier :)

Yeah, I'm kinda think that way too. I love both of them, but while Lum was my favorite in Urusei Yatsura, Akane was my favorite in Ranma 1/2 rather than Shampoo; however, I loved the fun and mischief Shampoo added to Ranma 1/2. She always kept things interesting, so she would qualify as my second favorite FEMALE character in Ranma 1/2.

shampoo is a very fun character to see in Ranma 1/2! Lum would be my favorite in Urusei Yatsura but Shampoo would be my favorite in Ranma 1/2. i can see why there are soo many crazed shampoo fans out there because of lum. if you think about it, lum and shampoo are very, very similar. :)

Yep. They really are. I love their bubbly personalities and they are full of so much energy that They are just fun to watch.
I still think Lum is more compassionate toward others than Shampoo but Shampoo has her moments. ( I also think its funny to watch Shampoo and Akane interact. Their faces are priceless. Shampoo looks so funny and playful when she's teasing Akane, even if it is a little mean, but the way Akane gets SO angry over it is really funny and kinda cute, its like watching two kids pick on each other (ranma and akane kind of act like little kids too, Sorta the tease each other because they like each other thing, but I'm sure everyone knows that there is a difference because Shampoo and Akane DO NOT have any sort of romantic feelings for each other), so that's another reason why I like Shampoo. She can get some of the best reactions out of others.)

I pretty much agree with both of you. (My first real love; however, is Akane and she's still my #1, but LUM IS SO AMAZING AND I LOVE HER JUST AS MUCH!!!!)
I think Shampoo is totally a fun character and she brings a lot of excitement with her! (Sometime I did wish Shampoo and Akane could've been closer to friend, but they were CUTE rivals, I think)

Still when push comes to shove I think Lum has a better personality than Shampoo and I think she's prettier.) She's such a sweet girl and if you ask me, she is very tolerant of some of the things Ataru does. ( In the manga I also thought Akane was pretty tolerant because Ranma was kinda meaner with his words and Akane seemed to reach out more in the manga then in the anime.) But I do not remember any of the Rumiko Takahashi leading females having to put up with quite as much with their man as Lum does with Ataru (Sango may come close, and Kagome had to put up with Inuyasha longing for a former love, Kikyo, who died and came back)
But Lum is a strong women and she still probably had to put up with the most and if any of the girls deserved to have the ability to use electricity as a means of punishment, its Lum.

I think I always liked Lum better. Both are very pretty, but I think Lum looks better. Plus I think Lum is more beautiful on the inside as well. Shampoo can be selfish at times and Lum cares more about others than Shampoo does.

I love Lum the best. To be honest Akane is my favorite character in Ranma 1/2, but SHampoo is SUPER CUTE!
