It's hard to say, but I would like to think it was this.

Well, there's some slight referring that Narcissa was rather put off when Lucius was locked up and there's also the scene when Voldy asks for Lucius's wand and of course the big final, the three Malfoys hugging in the great hall. So I think, but maybe I imagine it, as I want it to be so, they did love each other after all. And of course Draco, above all. I just love them.

I really hope it's this way. Do I think it's this way? Yes.

Loving couple in private and cold to the world. IMO that's very clar in HBP (the way Narcissa defended Lucius in Spinners End) and in DH (Narcissa took Lucius' hand under the table if I remember correctly, in the end they're hugging in the Great Hall, right?).

I think it's obvious from the books that they have at least a minimal level of affection for each other. Narcissa being protective about her husband when Voldemort wanted his wand, and Lucius giving over his wand immediately with her just touching his wrist very slightly. Also Narcissa seemed distressed about his absense when he was in Azkaban. How much of this is real love, though, it's hard to say.

but still purebloods to the core.....purebloods do have feelings too I would say :-)

I love to think of them as loving couple to the world and all. But in the first Malfoy Manor scene if you look very closely, Narcissa looks like she has a bruise on her face, as if someone punched her. I highly doubt Lucius would've done that to her, my theory (as well as my grandmother's)is that The Dark Lord did that to her for Draco's 'failure' (not killing Dumbledore.) In my lovely mind Lucius would NEVER EVER do that to her. Just saying.
