Love Question

How do i answer?

Ok so in my tec ed class is one of my really close guy friends and today he started showing me that on his paper it said will you go out with me. i asked him if he was asking me out he said no but near the end of class he kept asking me if i would, i kept shrugging my shoulders because idk if i would go out with him!
I'm confused was he was asking me out or was he just fooling around?

I don't think that a really close friend would just joke about that. I mean there is a reason he is asking. Like he would want to know if you would so than he could actually officially ask you or he just wants to know if you would.
