whoa what?! You go out with a guy but you fancy his older brother? This will never work. If you go out with his older brother then it could cause a huge rift in his family and you would end up out in the cold. But if you stay with the guy and try to forget about his brother then you'll soon break up. I think it might be best if you break up before this dance because you obviously don't think much of him if your thinking about going out with his brother. Break up with him, forget about the dance, and find someone else

carefully evaluate your feelings!! it is VERY common to have a crush on the brother or best friend of a guy friend or boyfriend. i would reconsider the entire ordeal carefully. i notice you say you 'have' to dance with him. most likely, this is just a crush, be sure to respect the guys brother and his date. depending on when the dance is, find someone that you actually want to go with, but pleasepleaseplease dont ditch this guy the day before. if you seriously dont have feelings for him anymore, it's cruel to you both to keep the relationship going, and you should find a quiet time (WITHOUT an audience) to tell him how you feel. do consider the feelings of everyone involved, including yourself. dont ditch this guy for his brother only to find that he doesn't like you (and doesnt plan on it either). be careful, and good luck!

First you have to see who is nicer and wait until the dance is over and see if his brother still talks to you and if not its a crush you get over it and if it is his brother just be friends with him. <3
