I've done it... fallen in love. But he doesnt know.. and he seems to tower me in age. We were great friends and now my parents wont let us even talk. yet they don't know i like him. I was caught keeping in touch with him and was nearly mauled.

1.You're a teen-ager and your parents know it.They can't protect you forever.There's nothing wrong with being in love.If your feelings are stong you should fight for it.But first you should try a conversation with your parents.
2.Be yourself and give the guy some indication.Monday you will touch his hand,tuesday back to friendship,friday give him a "friendly..not really" hug.You can play a little with him.In this way you will look a little hard but also exciting ( not like one fo that stupid and pathetic girls who can even find 2 words to say).Be really careful at his reactions.If you will see one little "I want to be more than friends" gesture,keep doing it.
3.I'm not sure if this thing will work but it's the best advice I can give.
