Are these signs my ex isn't over me?

He has a reputation for being with a new girl every week, since he left me 7 months ago he hasn't been in a relationship at all.

When he sees me he will get my attention and say hi to me and smiles at me

He stares at me when he sees me

I'm too scared too :( and he said when we were together he never wanted to lose me and he's never been with anyone as beautiful as me before so I don't know :(
