HELP PLZ...What do you think about...?

Ok so the deal is this...A friend told me last year that he liked me but that he knew that there was no hope since I´ve a boyfriend (we have been together for 4 years)I didn´t say anything I just listened to him...and now he has a girlfriend (they have dating for like a month now)but before that he was being really flirtatious with me and stuff (even some of my friends ask me what the hell is going on between us)and he kinda messed me up, because I sort of startd to develop this feelings for him (even though I´ve a boyfriend)and then he out of the blue tells m that h liks this girl (which is his girlfriend now) but doesn´t stop the flirting and even kinda asks me out "as a friend". What the hell is on his mind ? Help plz

Yep...he has a right to find love. I like him but not enough to leave my boyfriend (he´s a great guy) and besides I think he´s playing around and I hate guys who do that
