Help me!! (again)

Well, for those who read my previous cries for help, here I am again.

Turns out I like this kid, who's two years younger then me.

Last Friday night at the dance, I had to monitor this 7th grader because she wanted to dance with him and he didn't want to. When I came home from the dance, I was texting him, and he said...

"k id ask you to dance but im short and im in 6th grade so that would be kinda weird"

That took me by shock enough, then later he said...

"i think u nice and um attractive"

What am I supposed to do to get him to like like me? He only said I was attractive, not that he like liked me.

For those who don't know, I'm in 8th grade and he's in 6th...:(
