Just tell them openly and honestly that while you appreciate them wanting to help that this is something you want to do on your own. If there really your friends then they will understand.

They don't get involved period. My love life is for me and not for them to comment and add their opinions.

Everyone deserves his/her privacy.Just be honest with your friends and tell them that you appreciate their help,but there are some matters you should handle your own way. If they are truly friends, they'll understand and respect your wish.

tell your friends that you two are both not ready to go any faster and that they should not pressure you to go faster then you like. you know whats best for your self... just try to respectfully make them understand that. hope this helps.
