It seems like there'd be so many great stories with this. The flashback in the 5th book of James/Lily was my hands down favorite part of the book. I mean all the stories of the Marauder's and how James and Lily eventually got together would be so much fun to read.

I thought that JKR should have written MORE about their time in Hogwarts, but I desperately needed to read about them AFTER Hogwarts. How they fell in love and got married and how they fought Voldemort.

I would LOVE to get to know more about Lily & James days at Hogwarts! Lily's initial hatred of James, them being Head Girl & Boy, falling in love, etc. It would all be so amazing to find out about! Plus, I really think we needed a little bit more about James' character! We only have snippets about it, and because people don't know much about him, he gets so much hatred and most of the time for no reason!

I would definitely love [love, love, LOVE] to see both but if I HAD to choose [or die!] I'd choose at Hogwarts.
Mainly because it shows you how real they were. How they were actually in love. So it confirmed it instead of just being second hand information passed on from people saying "James and Lily Potter", etc., etc.

I, on some level, wouldn't want it for fear of James being too much of a complete prat. I like to spread his Hogwarts time into thee groups.

Years 1-5: Complete prattage. Pines after Lily from fourth year onward.

Years 6+7: TRANFORMATION! Subtly, and gradually, becomes less prattish. Wins Lily's friendship sometime between end of sixth year and beginning and seventh.

The Lily Period [and onward]: I like to think that after they [James and Lily] become friends there is a little sexual tension [but that could just be my inner fangirl speaking]. I think that after a while they just snog or something and BAM--magical Lily and James couple-age. Because, let's face it, any way they get together I'd be happy.

I suppose if JKR happened to write a book on the Hogwarts Years (Maybe 6th year and onward, Years 1-5 may get a bit repetitive) I'd run up to the computer, pre-order it, and squeal until the release date (then when the UPS guy comes I would attack him, rip my book out of his hands, and lock myself in my room with my iPod and the book).

Plus, I think it would do good to actually show James' good side. All we've seen (mostly) is James!Prat. And Lily!MAD. That's not enough for most people to be like: "James and Lily are the bestest couple EVER." (becuase really, only the awesome shippers like us do, but we are awesome, so it's okay). I think seeing them fall in love, with the pure humor of it, would be amazing.

But, of course, I can also understand JKR not wanting to write. She already has so much publicity and expectations. If her style is different, more care-free and humorous, would everyone still love it? It'd be a lot of pressure, I can understand.

But yes, if on a miracle she did write a Lily and James book I'd have to choose a three book series. One of Hogwarts, one of Post-Hogwarts, and one of Harry's time at the Dursley's, or flash backs through everyone's lives.

i would love to see how they got all started instead of clips on the movies.

If you guys want to read an AMAZING depiction of what might've happened during their time at Hogwarts, you should read The Life and Times by Jewels5. Oh. My. Gosh. It literally changed my life. I view it as completely and totally 100% canon. :D:D:D It deals with everything at Hogwarts- not just James and Lily. But trust me- the James and Lily parts are WORTH IT. :D:D
