I'd go with "I always knew", and in some way I know I did, but it wasn't until I was nine that I accepted that I liked the handsome princes in fairytales as well as the princessed :P

I'm bi, but I only figured that out a few days ago when I was watching the fourth season of House M.D. and figured out that I had a crush on Thirteen (a female bi character) even though I'm in love with a male character in the same TV show...

I was 12 when I realised that something funny was going on, but I had a crush on a girl in my class before that. We're still friends and she doesn't know I'm bi. I'm 16 and I still haven't come out yet but I'm working up to it. The forums on this spot are very helpful. :)

This is pretty much synonymous with 'I always knew' for me. I knew when I was around nine, ten years old, but it wasn't a revelation or something. When I started to get crushes I just noticed that I liked girls as much as I liked boys.

i realized it when i was 12 ! its more 90 (boys) 10 (girls) but it changes every now and then ...... to tell u the truth i've only liked 3 girls more than friends ....

I had been thinking kind of abstractly about it for a while, but it came together when I was 16 and I had gay dreams about Angel and Spike, of the shows Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. :) It took me about a year to decide I was bi, though. Seriously, the amount of denial I went through was crazy, to think about it now. The culture, for all its improvements over the decades, is really opposed to homosexuality.

Well it's odd I just recall having a massive crush on my maths teacher Miss Pigeon when I was 11 and even told my sister (she said I was being silly) but I just kind of knew....yet ignored it as homosexuality was not looked kindly upon in my family. It was never talked of as an option in life. I grew up thinking women and men got married and everyone did that regardless.

I was perhaps confused and hadn't admitted it fully to myself till I was 15. Not because I ever liked guys, but because I was waiting to like guys. I'd have certain feelings towards girls, and I saw my straight friends all around me talking about having a crush on so and so and I'd look around and think why don't I feel like that about guys? Why do I feel like that about girls? I thought one day it would hit me and suddenly I'd find men attractive too but it never happened...... then I came to terms with my sexuality.

When I was younger I thought they're something funny with me. Then when I was 11 (6th grade) I got a huge crush on a girl. It was embarresing. Then in 7th grade I read a book called "Annie on my Mind" (GREAT book) that made me really wonder if I was a lesbian... And now, I'm not sure what I am, because sometimes I like boys... Not often, though.

I actually always knew it kinda. It was like feeling something for the girl or the teacher(s) at school. When I was 14 I told some friends, all where like ok we accept and suddenly they hated me accept for 1 friend, now I have other friends that accept me. And at the same age (14) I had my first real crush she was a teacher... And I accepted at the age of 17, because my high school years was a hell time.. so I want to kill myself and stuff.. never did it or try it but thought about it and stuff. Now I'm 20 and trying to trust people and tell them I'm gay. And uhm only on Fanpop I can be myself. If I post something of facebook everybody will knows it + my family... bleeeh

around 12 I was about half and half then I went through denile
early 13 I liked girls a bit better
late 13 and on I liked girls, not boys :P
But as a kid I looked back and saw I was always attractive to girls because I always caught myself staring or thinking about it. XD My mom is also bi- but she liked girls better then guys.

well im kinda complicated. when i was around 9 or 10 my friend and i would play games that would lead to us kissing. Throughout the years (9-14) i tried to pray my bisexuality away and i tried to deny it. But by 14 after my friend and I had had full out sex, i finally accepted it and came to terms with my sexuality.

The signs were there since I was like, 8, but I'm so dumb I never realised. I mean, I was saving pictures of Jessica Alba in a bikini, and honestly, this went on for a while. I fell in love with an older woman, had erotic dreams about her, and I still didn't get it. I should be institutionalised, I'm such an idiot, lol

It's complicated. Being in a very narrow christin household I dismissed it and denied it. I don't have any particualr memories of "signs", I was one of the guys in the neighborhood and would beat them up if they said I was really a girl. Eventually I feel for one of the main guys I hung out with since preschool. He was my first boyfriend, then he moved. After I found myself making out with my mostly straight female bff. Once again I denied it. I got another serious boyfriend and we were together and almost got married until about 6 months ago. Now I'm starting to realize that I might just be gay. I'm still very confused; I'm 22 now.

Or kiss him. He was the cutest person to me. He was kind and never would hurt me. I felt weird because mom always told me that boys don't like boys. They like girls. Because the Bible said so. I mean, I wasn't trying to go against my religion. But, you can't help who you fall in love with. I told her that many times. She finally accepted it. But, my dad never did.

very very young, I realized I acted like a boy, but was in love with my best friend Sharon. It took til my early teens to come to grips with my bisexuality.

For a long time I assumed I was straight just because I'm heteroromantic. Didn't really start figuring out my sexual orientation until just over a year ago (late summer of 2013).

well, it started with the discovery that i was panromantic. i was fifteen at the time;
and approximately four months ago, this time around at the age of sixteen i discovered myself to be on the nonbinary spectrum. that choice of wording is because i still tend to experience gender confusion so it's subject to change but i am certain to be nb at the least;

I knew I was attracted to girls when I was 6, but I didn't know I was a -panromantic- lesbian 'til I turned 13.

I only learned what "pansexual" and "asexual" meant when I was twelve, but it took me a hell of a long time to figure out "oh, that's me"

I remember two incidents: one where I was playing as a boy (I was born a female, identify as gender fluid) on a website, don't remember what. My mom came in, saw that and said to stop. So I dressed my character back up as a boy. But I still did this sometimes.
Another time, about a year later, I told my mom that I sometimes wished I was a boy or sometimes felt more like a boy. Once again, my mom kinda shot that down.

All that happened when I was 8-10 I believe. I always felt like this, just didn't realize
my gender until about a year ago, despite always being this way. Anyway, there's a reason why I'm not out to my parents yet...
